🌿 Monday Empowerment: Saying No More & Choosing Myself 🌿
It’s been a little while since I last wrote here, but today I felt compelled to share something from the heart — something that’s been rising within me for a while now.
Every Monday, I take time to tune in.
To pause. To breathe.
To connect with the energy I want to carry into the week ahead.
This little ritual has become a sacred part of my life — my Monday Empowerment. And today, as I sat with myself in stillness, these words came pouring through… and I knew I had to share them here with you.
For most of my life, I was a yes person.
Always saying yes to what didn’t align.
Yes to people who didn’t truly see me.
Yes to situations that left me drained and disconnected from myself.
I made myself small to avoid disappointing others. I said yes to keep the peace, even when it meant betraying my own.
And for a long time, I thought that was just who I had to be.
But the truth?
I was simply surviving.
Pushing through. Swallowing my needs. Trying to fit in where I no longer belonged.
And then, Reiki found me.
Reiki didn’t just open a door — it cracked me wide open.
It reconnected me to something deeper.
To my soul. To my intuition. To the truth that this is my one precious life — and I’m no longer wasting it on anything that doesn’t serve my growth or honour my peace.
Now, I live consciously. I make choices with intention.
I protect my energy like the sacred thing it is.
And for the first time in my life… I’m living unapologetically as me.
No masks.
No more bending.
No more explaining myself to be understood.
And perhaps the biggest shift of all:
I’ve learned to say no more.
✨ No more to overgiving.
✨ No more to shrinking.
✨ No more to silencing myself for the comfort of others.
✨ No more to abandoning myself just to belong.
My needs aren’t too much. They never were.
All I’ve ever wanted is space to be who I truly am — to be met with kindness, honesty, and respect.
And the people who honour that? Who see and celebrate my healing? They’ll always have a seat at my table. 💛
But at 31, I finally understand this:
If you can’t respect my choices…
If my growth feels too uncomfortable…
If you struggle with me choosing myself (as I should have done long ago)…
Then maybe you’re not meant for this next chapter.
This isn’t about bitterness. It’s about liberation.
It’s not selfishness. It’s self-respect.
It’s not too much. It’s finally enough.
So today, I gently ask you:
🌱 What are you still saying yes to that no longer aligns?
🌱 Who are you when you stop shrinking?
🌱 What could shift if you said no more… and started saying yes to you?
You deserve a life that feels like you.
One that honours your truth.
One that nourishes your soul.
One where you’re not just surviving — but truly living.
With love, always,
Taylor 💛Â
